Nutrition Tracking Is One Key To My Weight Loss Success

In my last blog, I set a goal to lose three pounds in the upcoming week. To achieve this goal I would workout daily using Goji Play, track my meals, and drink more water. I am happy to report that I was successful. I stepped on the scale on weigh-in day and found that I had lost four pounds! For me, it's evident that food tracking combined with exercise are vital to my success.

I tracked my diet and workouts in an app on my iPhone called myfitnesspal. It is a free app that allows you to set a daily calorie intake based on your age, weight, height, and activity level. Studies report that people who kept a food journal lost about two times the weight of those who do not. They believe that one of the main reasons tracking food helps people lose weight is the accountability.

When logging my meals I made sure to focus on portion sizes, to log the food as I consume it, and to cook almost all of my meals at home. I am proof that keeping a food journal combined with exercising is a great way to get in shape the right way.

I look forward to my daily workouts using Goji Play. Here in Texas, we are in the hottest month of the year and I am nice and cool in the comfort of my home, playing games while I get my cardio session in.

I plan on doing a video blog soon to show what exactly Goji Play is for those who are still unsure on how it works. During week three of my Goji Challenge, a 30 day weight loss challenge, the goal is to lose three pounds. I will continue to keep a food journal, stay active with my daily Goji Play workouts, and drink water.

This week, I am also focusing on getting my family to eat more fruits and vegetables with our meals. This may prove to be challenging, since my son picks out all the vegetables he sees in his food. Anyone have any ideas on how to get a picky eater to eat their vegetables? I could use some suggestions.
