I Can DO This! Resetting My Eating Habits.

Summer is officially over and fitness reality has finally started to sink in. It has been challenging to juggle all my day-to-day activities with work, school for the kids, school for myself, and my normal household chores. The last two weeks have been a constant struggle for me with staying on track with my healthy eating and workouts.

Reclaim nutrition and fitness motivation after setbacks

I am happy to say that I have consistently been exercising using my Goji Play. I look forward to working off the stress of the day from work and school. I always feel better after a good cardio session. My healthy eating routine was derailed over Labor Day weekend, during a visit home with my family. I am not sure if it was the comfort of being at home or the stress catching up with me from the previous week, but I did not make the best food choices. However, I did keep up with my exercise! Given the week I had, I’m going to call that a non-scale victory (NSV).

Since I forgot my Goji Play while visiting family, I got creative and found some alternative workout DVDs I could use to get some exercise. Those DVDs sufficed, but I really missed playing my Goji games.

I am now working on getting my healthy eating habits back on track. To add to the stress of my daily life, I had to have a wisdom tooth removed. I am not too fond of going to the dentist, so planning for this procedure has contributed to my stress level and I found myself reverting to some old emotional eating patterns.

My goal for this next week is to clean up my diet and continue with my cardio workouts. I hope to lose 2-3 lbs. this week. I am up a couple of pounds from the past two weeks, and I know exactly what caused this slight weight gain. I also know exactly how to rectify the situation and lose weight. To restart my better nutrition motivation, I am going to continue to remain positive and keep on keeping on. Goji Play has been my lifeline for staying on a healthy plan and keeping me interested in my daily workouts. I know for sure that I would have gained more than 2 lbs. these past two weeks if I didn’t have something fun to do while exercising on my cardio machine. I look forward to sharing my results of my hard work on next week’s blog. If you haven't already, I invite you to subscribe to the blog and follow my journey to fitness.
