There’s a common misconception that weight loss is a steady decline, like taking an escalator. Week one, a pound. Week two, two pounds, week three, two or three more pounds, and so on. However, everyday life tends to get in the way of weight loss being totally consistent. Instead of the pounds coming off every week, you may lose less or even gain a little weight during the process. It’s okay to get off track sometimes. Afterall, getting healthier is a journey, not a straight path. Beating yourself up for getting off track won’t help you lose weight any faster. It can be great to completely focus on your goals, but also accept when life has other plans and priorities.
